Lions Elite was founded with a mission to uplift and empower underrepresented youth by providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to succeed in life, both on and off the mat. What began in 2015 as a small cheer team at a local middle school quickly grew into a tight-knit family where young athletes could build confidence, develop leadership skills, and find a sense of belonging.
Despite facing challenges that could have ended our journey, we remained resilient. When obstacles arose, we adapted, proving that determination and community can overcome any barrier. In 2020, our hard work paid off when we won a national championship, an achievement that showcased not only our skill but also the strength and perseverance of our athletes.
Recognizing the financial barriers that often keep underserved youth from experiencing competitive cheer, we created the only program in Kern County that offers elite-level training at no cost. By removing financial obstacles, we ensure that every child, regardless of background, has access to a sport that fosters discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
Our mission goes beyond cheerleading. Lions Elite provides academic and career readiness support, emotional development, and community engagement opportunities to help our champions excel in all aspects of life. Through mentorship, college guidance, and service initiatives, we prepare our athletes to become leaders in their communities, equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed long after they leave the mat.
